It's alive! It's alive!
The hardware formerly known as k5, one of the machines which made up k.root-servers.net, powered up in it's new chassis this evening. Everything looks OK, except that it's hard disk needs nuking and starting again...

OK, I decided that it was time to rebirth vfth.
I'm single again, and that means that I have plenty of spare time at weekends. I can do things like wash my car, loaf around the house, build some new PC hardware, and tinker with perl. Found this nice thing called Greymatter. Written by people who can spell "grey" properly ;-).
This does mean it's much easier to add and edit things here without hacking around bits of html code, so maybe I can make more of an effort in future.
I've archived the old vfth stuff, it's now at http://www.smashing.net/hill/over_the_hill/ in case you happen to be looking for some ancient venomous article...
