There is a DIY/hardware shop called B & Q. For those out there who haven't experienced the Orange-ness of a B & Q, it's an English version of Home Despot.
I've bitched about them on here before.
So, I need some IEC leads and IEC sockets. IECs are the sort of "kettle-lead"ish connectors which you plug into the back of your computer, etc. You can see what they look like here.
Does B & Q, with colossal amounts of electrical stuff, which claims to be able to serve tradesmen, sell IEC's? Course not. They stock all sorts of weird and wonderful connectors, special outdoors sockets so you don't get electrocuted when mowing the grass, sockets and plugs in pretty colours, etc. Just no IECs.
I even asked one of their electrical staff if they sold IECs. I was met with a vacant stare. Sigh.

Heh... so I finally get around to wishing you all the best for 2003. Hope it's a good one. Maybe it will be if some Texan tosspot stops sabre rattling and trying to incite a war. Peace and love, people.
