02/11/2007 Entry: "Blah, blah, blah. Thought I'd re-appear."
Can't sleep too well. Only got home from Canada this week. 2nd day back, and despite taking a daylight flight, and trying to put my long-suffering body clock in order, I'm up at 3am. Made myself useful writing slideware for the LINX56 meeting... got tonnes of stuff to do.
We moved our offices at work this week too, to a new building. Well, I didn't, because I was actually in Toronto for the move.
So, that meant that I packed my desk the week before into a bunch of plastic crates, and came back to the new place on Friday to unpack. I actually got a real office of my own now, with a door, one of those double glazed windows with a blind, and now need to make it feel a bit more personal - you know, make it my own space.
Best bit of the move though is that we have a lot more room, and a really cool enlarged lab for playing with whizzy kit. We're not sat on top of each other anymore, the new office has far less in the way of wasted space, and you're not deafened when someone uses the espresso machine.
I think we're onto a winner. I'm gonna try sleeping again now... ;)
